The Slow Surface
Materials chosen for how they age. Brass that darkens at the doorknob. Oak that lightens by the window. Linen that softens with every wash.

We measure a room first by how the sun finds it. South light is honey at noon. North light is even, forgiving. Before furniture, a room is its light.
